To be fair, with the gore argument, I think it's moreso that Japanese shonen is not as gore heavy compared to American comics that go all out with it. And with the fact that, Dragon Ball characters can usually tank attacks that Viltrumites will literally be torn apart, but the Viltrumites can fight on in terrible conditions. Saiyans just have higher durability while Viltrumites have more resilience.

I'd give durability through AP to Goku but durability through physical toughness to Omni-Man, moreso because American comics are usually more gorey and even though Dragon Ball has gore moments, it's still catered to young boys, so they will not go all-out gore like American comics do.

A better matchup would be Omni-Man against Raditz
